Meet This Superhero Woof: Loki
Loki just turned 6 months old this past week. He is from a litter in Nebraska and is already excited to reunite with his siblings at their 1st Birthday party! He is a full German Shepherd and his favorite activity is swimming. This smart guy learned how to open the pool gate to jump in on his own, so Mom had to get creative to re-enforce the gate!
Loki is named after the hero, as well as his family’s former dog Thor. Since Loki is Thor’s brother in comics, we named him for his late brother in our life too. He spends his days playing with his sister Sylvie, who is part German Shepherd and part Australian Cattle Dog. They are best friends and hate being apart from each other. He is over 70 pounds at six months old, and is expected to be 125lbs. just like his dad.
Loki is a special addition to our family, after going through hard times, we decided to add a new member to bring love and joy into our lives. He more than accomplished that; Loki is a gentle giant who loves his family more than anything. He has heavy footsteps so everyone can hear him coming when he runs to greet you when you get home. Although he is a gentle giant, he does not understand his massive size and loves to be treated like a huge baby.
