Week 2: Minnie

This is Minnie. She is a 7-year-old Cavachon and yes, she is named after Minnie Mouse. We got Minnie from a small local breeder. She happened to be the runt of the litter, so her name was even more fitting. Minnie has been a part of my family since she was just under two months old, and is very loved.

While she is full of energy this girl also loves to nap, especially when she has someone to cuddle with! Minnie’s favorite treats are carrots. She loves to do tricks for a carrot reward. Some of her talents include sitting, high-five, shake, jump, lay down, roll over, and play dead. 

While she is a generally happy pup, she gets sad when my sister and I have to leave after visiting home for a short period of time. She knows suitcases mean goodbyes and will sometimes climb inside so we feel bad for leaving her to take her on a trip. Minnie is also not a big fan of going on walks, as she would rather sniff around our yard for rabbits. She is quite a funny dog.

Overall, Minnie has brought incredible amounts of joy to our family. She is smart, fun to be around, and even brings a little attitude. Our lives are definitely better with Minnie in it!
